National IT and Telephony Leader Expands Executive Team

JONESBORO, Ark. — September 20, 2021 — Optus, a national leader in IT and telephony solutions to enhance and simplify communication and collaboration, today announced the appointment of Thomas Harter as President. Harter has more than 31 years of experience in leadership positions including sales, strategic accounts, and corporate operations, including providing business process outsourcing and revenue generation services to Fortune 1000 companies. Most recently, Harter served as Chief Operations Officer and prior to that, held the position of Executive Vice President, Global Sales at OSG Billing Services (OSG). As President, Harter will oversee Optus’ growth strategy, including customer expansion, acquisitions, and business development. Harter will work closely with Founder and Chief Customer Officer, Mark Duckworth, as well as Chief Operations Officer, David Sluder, to continue the long-standing organizational success of Optus. 

With deep revenue-building experience across the Americas and Europe, Harter brings a global perspective to Optus’ growing national presence. At OSG, a leading provider of outsourced billing services and customer communication management, Harter led the global business and financial services team as well as several affiliate businesses within OSG that provide integrated omni-channel print and electronic solutions for customers across a wide range of industries. Previously, Harter served as CEO and Chairman of the Board for Microdynamics Group, a provider of integrated, multichannel transactional print and electronic solutions.
